The conference kicked
off with a bang at the welcome reception
in the President’s Suite. Members met
new friends and got reacquainted with
old friends while enjoying hors d’
oeuvres, beer, & wine.
Thursday & Friday mornings started
bright and early at 5:30 am when
everyone boarded the luxury coaches to
begin the commissary tours. Most people
brought their cameras and asked lots of
questions. Whether it was a new sandwich
idea or how to incorporate hand held
credit card machines, there was
something to be learned at each stop.
The business luncheon and breakfast
meetings on the terrace were wonderful
networking opportunities, not to mention
that everyone enjoyed great food!
Certified Distributors and Mobile
Catering Cooperative of America each had
time to tell our members how to save
money by participating in their buying
programs.
The trade show opened at 1:00 pm on
Friday. There were some really wonderful
products on display and a catering truck
from Silver Star was on the show floor
so members could get an up close and
personal look at the Canadian style
boxes. Everyone walked away with
bursting goodie bags.
The Grand Finale was just that…GRAND.
Members had cocktails and hors d’
oeuvres at the tower bar and dinner was
served at the revolving 360º Restaurant
at the very top of the tower. The food
was great and the view was spectacular –
A person couldn’t ask for a better
atmosphere! Awards were presented after
dinner in the tower bar. Each company
that submitted items for the sandwich
display took home an award. Gifts of
thanks and appreciation were given to
The Classic Cuisine, Vicky Francavilla,
and Cori Koppal for their combined
efforts to put the Expo together.
It was said more than once that this was
the best conference and trade show in
many years.
