Howdy Y’all!
|
The spring conference in Las Vegas
was another giant success. The
educational sessions were everything
we could hope for. You can see the
conference at a glance on page
three. Jerry McVety of McVety &
Associates gave a wonderful
presentation about every aspect of
sales - from finding good sales
people to being the salesperson
yourself. Every person present took
uite a few notes and asked lots of
questions. |

Our surprise speaker was another
highlight of the educational sessions.
Member Colin Lear of Tasty Trucks in
Austraila was gracious enough to give an
impromtu presentation about his unique
approach to mobile catering. We won’t go
into details as we hope to have him back
with plenty of time to prepare another
presentation at our Fall Trade show.
We’re excited to announce that this
year’s Fall Trade Show will be in Dallas
/ Fort Worth Texas. Russell Westhoff and
the rest of United Caterers, Inc. are
very happy to be our host catering
house. There will be four site tours, an
expanded trade show floor, great
speakers, and plenty of down home fun
for everyone.
Attendees will stay at the Hyatt Place
Hotel in the historic Stockyards
district. You can get a feel for the
area at
www.fortworthstockyards.org. I plan
on staying an extra day to relax and
take advantage of everything this area
has to offer - I hope you can too!
We all know the economy has been less
than propserous and the best business
minds in the country keep reminding us
to GET BACK TO THE BASICS. That’s what
this Trade Show and conference will be
all about. The CCFMA officers and board
of directors are committed to this
organization and making sure that we
carry out our obective; share industry
information and brainstorm to create
better business practices and more
prosperity for all members. There are
hundreds of years combined experience in
this association. Let’s take advantage
of it! Come to the Fall Conference and
Trade show and see what we can
accomplish together. Watch your mailbox
for more information.
Thanks and God bless,
